Fort Shafter Elementary School - Home of the Eagles
Major General William R. Shafter Elementary School has served the military families of the Fort Shafter Army Post since 1951. Of the school's current student population, approximately 95% are dependents of military personnel based in Hawaii. Shafter Elementary currently has approximately 400+ students between grades Pre-k through 6.
Shafter Elementary is one of only ten elementary schools on Oahu to be accredited, receiving six years accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in November 2009.
